Here are some comments that clients have shared with me which I hope will encourage you to take the first steps that they did … and get in touch.
Anxiety

I was struggling mentally at work due to some on-going issues in the work place, but also at home, and I could start to feel myself, my mental state spiralling, I was getting anxious and started having low moods. I spoke to a friend who recommended to speak to Steve to see if there was anything he could do to help me get my anxiety and low moods back in control. My initial conversation with Steve was very calming and relaxed. Steve had a soft spoken approach towards me which was exactly what I needed at that time, I could tell in that first instance that he was non-judgemental and could help me.

I had 4 sessions in total with Steve, each one bringing out memories and stories that I needed to hear again so that I could put things in my professional and personal life into perspective, I then started to see things from a different perspective and could see where I needed to change. Steve helped me set up personal goals to increase my confidence whilst at the same time helping me remain calm in potentially difficult situations. Steve guided me through this process to a place where I feel less guilt about my life choices and to a place where I can have the correct conversations to bring out the better in me. My anxiety has reduced dramatically to a point where I am able to go about my personal and professional life with more ease and comfort.

I would highly recommend Steve to anyone who wants to start therapy, he is a truly kind person who wants to listen and help. Steve used the tools needed to help me get back in control and I couldn’t be happier.

Anxiety

I have felt a lot better these last few weeks and I really feel like seeing you has helped me cope with things more, I feel a lot more relaxed and I try to incorporate the relaxation techniques you shown me into daily life which could be contributing to why I’ve not felt as anxious lately!

If something triggers me again, I’m hoping I’ll be able to handle it better because of what I’ve learned from seeing you though.

If something arises and I feel like I need help again, I would definitely contact you. I feel like it really helped me when I needed it the most, and I want to thank you for seeing me. I really appreciate it.

Anxiety

I heard about Steve through a mutual friend on social media. After suffering with my mental health and anxiety for a while I met Steve and felt instantly at ease! We talked through my problems and he gave me coping mechanisms to try when my anxiety got too much!

After completing my sessions I now feel like I’m able to cope with things that life throws at me and can deal with them effectively after Steve’s help.

I would certainly recommend to anyone who is looking for help with their anxiety.

Depression

I was recently frantically searching the internet for a councillor as I knew I felt rock bottom after a complicated breakup let’s say, everything felt like a black hole, which was totally out of character for me.
I started with Steve, which has helped me no end, in every way and I’m so grateful I found him when I did, it’s like I can see the light again so to speak, I cannot thank him enough!
