a lagom life
therapy & mind-coaching
from surviving to thriving -
practical therapy for positive change
if you are...
-
feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in a cycle of stress and burnout and want to feel better before things reach breaking point
-
struggling with low confidence or self-doubt, despite your achievements and want to feel secure and capable in yourself
-
trapped by fears, phobias, or obsessive thoughts that won’t go away and want to break free from these unhelpful patterns
-
finding it harder to relax, sleep well, or switch off from daily pressures and want to find an approach where rest and balance are possible
-
battling habits, addictions, or coping mechanisms that no longer serve you and want to find a sustainable solution, rather than the solution you have been using
you might be asking...
-
why do I feel anxious or on edge all the time, even when things seem fine? – your mind is trying to protect you, but it may be relying on unhelpful patterns, or misusing your innate resources
-
can therapy really help me, even if I’ve felt this way for years? – change happens when we meet our emotional needs and rewire unhelpful patterns
-
why do I keep falling back into the same habits, even when I try to change? – your brain follows patterns - when you understand them, you can shift them for good
-
what if my problems aren’t ‘bad enough’ for therapy? – you don’t have to wait until things get worse; support can help at any stage
-
how long will it take to feel better? – many clients see positive improvements after their very first session

-
am I tied in to a set number of sessions? Not at all. Human Givens therapy is intended to help you as quickly as possible, with many clients achieving what they wish to within 4-6 sessions. That said, some feel better in fewer sessions, and in some complex cases, more sessions may be required. You will always be in charge of whether you want another session, and we will review progress as we go.
-
how will I know I'm making progress? In the majority of cases, we'll use outcome measures to track your progress. This means filling in a short multi-choice questionnaire online before each session to track how you've been in relevant areas since the last session.
-
how do I book an appointment? To book an initial (free-of-charge) consultation with Steve please use the scheduler on the bookings page. To book a full session with Steve or ask any questions you may have, please use the contact details below.

how do I pay?Payments are to be made via BACS transfer or by card / contactless. The details you'll need are given at the end of your session, and an invoice can also be provided if needed.
